The cornerstone of our Junior High ministry at Northminster, Sunday School meets during the school year, from 9:50 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (during the main worship service). In this time, we have check-ins, share joys and concerns, engage in lessons from the Bible, and play fun games.
We at Northminster are committed to serving God by serving our neighbors. In that spirit, we sometimes take a break from our regular Sunday School to meet in the church kitchen and make soup for our hungry neighbors here in our area. We sometimes serve with an organization called Feed My Starving Children, packing nutritious meals that go to hungry people around the world. We also try to serve about once a month with North Branch Restoration Project—an organization that works to restore and protect native ecosystems and their inhabitants along the North Branch of the Chicago River.
Sometimes we like to get together for the express purpose of hanging out and having a good time, for things like movie nights or canoe outings.
