Volunteer Opportunities With Interfaith Action

Volunteer for Our Emergency Overnight Shelter: Our Emergency Overnight Shelter (EOS) will be open every night from November 17th through late March. If you would like to volunteer and have not attended a training, please show up to one of our training sessions:

Emergency Overnight Shelter training dates:
Monday         11/4    7 to 8 pm    Unitarian Church of Evanston – 1330 Ridge
Wednesday   11/6     7 to 8pm    First Presbyterian Church  –  1427 Chicago
Wednesday   11/13   7 to 8pm    St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – 1004 Greenwood
Sunday           11/17   11:30am    Beth Emet the Free Synagogue – 1224 Dempster

If you cannot attend a training but would still like to volunteer, please contact Interfaith Action Evanston.

 

Volunteer for St. Paul’s Warming Shelter: St. Paul’s hosts a warming shelter on Mondays from 1pm to 3:30pm starting November 11th to late March. We need volunteers to welcome and supervise the guests.

 

Volunteer Assistant Coordinator for the Monday Soup Kitchen Needed: Assist the Coordinator on Mondays from about 11am – 2pm at Second Baptist Church. Contact Interfaith Action of Evanston for more information
