Starting on Tuesday, September 14th, at 6:30 a.m., Pastor Michael will begin hosting a twice monthly Men’s Bible Study. Men from Northminster, St. Luke’s Episcopal, and other congregations are being invited to participate. At the first gathering, the group will discuss two possible approaches to the study—One centered on what the Prophets from the Old Testament have to say to 21st Century Christians and one taking an in-depth look at the Lessons of Luke, looking at the Parables of Jesus found exclusively in that book.
The goal of the Bible study is to gain more understanding of how and why the Bible is still important as a teaching tool for us, and to see how some of its ancient teachings speak to our complex and, in many ways, very different lives today. If you are interested in joining the group, please reach out to Pastor Michael at firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be added to the organizational meeting invitation.
