This past Friday, February 3rd, the Junior Highers went to serve at Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville where they packaged hundreds of meals for children suffering from malnutrition and food insecurity in Liberia.
In Sunday School on February 5th, our conversation ranged from birds, to cheese, to Jesus’ compassion for the widow at Nain who had lost her son. This coming Sunday, February 12th, we are looking at what Jesus has to say about himself, and about John the Baptist, in Luke 7, and possibly work on a little craft project.
In the Sr. High Challenge Class this past Sunday, February 5th, we wrestled with Bonhoeffer’s thought that we find “God in human form,” and relate to God by being there for “the neighbor within reach.”
This Friday, February 10th, we are going to the movies. All Sr. Highers (and any interested friends and/or parents) are invited to come to the Century 12 Evanston Theater (1715 Maple Ave) at 5:15 p.m. to see “I Am Not Your Negro.” Click here to read more. To RSVP, please email director of Youth Ministry Alex DeMarco,
