The 2019 Northshore CROP Hunger Walk will be October 20 at 1:30 p.m at Grace Lutheran Church, 1430 South Blvd., Evanston. This year celebrates the 50th Anniversary of CROP Walk. As you know, hunger remains a serious issue in our community and in the world. Church World Service provides food, emergency aid and sustainable projects in areas where hunger is severe.
Three quarters of the money raised by the Northshore Crop Hunger Walk goes to Church World Service for their lifesaving mission. One quarter of the funds raised goes to local food projects. This year’s local beneficiaries are the Interfaith Action Hospitality Center, Second Baptist Church Soup Kitchen, and Soup at Six at Hemenway United Methodist Church.
