Northminster Book Study Continues February 8th

Categories: Adult Education

Remember that Northminster’s Book Study continues on Thursday evenings after ToGather in the Guild Room through February 15th. Rev. Jessica C. Gregory is leading the study on A House for Hope: The Promise of Progressive Religion for the Twenty-first Century  by John A. Buehrens and Rebecca Ann Parker. If you have questions, please email Pastor Jessica.

This book affirms that the shared hopes of religious progressives from many traditions can create a movement far stronger than fundamentalism. In order to advance positive social change, progressive people need to claim the transforming power of our theological heritage.

About the authors: Rev. Buehrens is a former president of Unitarian Universalist Church and a recently retired pastor. Rev. Rebecca Ann Parker is an ordained United Methodist minister in dual fellowship with the Unitarian Universalist Association; she served as president of Starr King Theology School until 2014.
