Share the love! All Northminster women and friends are invited to join us for our pre-Valentine’s Day get-together. Come for conversation and camaraderie at Panera in Wilmette. We’ll be in the “back room” starting at 9 a.m. It will be a loverly time! It may be frigid in February, but join us for some tropical fun-draising at Northminster Nursery School’s Annual Adult Party! The fun will begin at 7 p.m. on February 9th at the American Legion Evanston Post 42, 1030 Central Street. We will be raising funds in support of the teachers’ wish lists — from new… Every second Friday, Northminster buys, prepares, and serves a bag lunch to those who are homeless, needy, or just need a meal at the Church House at the Congregational Church (1417 Hinman ). (Diane Rosewall’s daughter, Ann, is the pastor at the Congregational Church.) We start at the Church House at 10:30 a.m. to make sandwiches… The Deacons are hosting ToGather this week. The main dishes will be from Pita Inn — chicken shwarma and vegetarian falafel, hummus, tabouleh (grain salad) — with additional salads and desserts. Please join us in Logan Hall at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 8th, for fabulous food and friendly fellowship. Cost is only $5 per person… “You pray for the hungry. Then you feed them. This is how prayer works.” – Pope Francis. Save your coins for CHANGE HUNGER. Fourth and fifth graders are invited to attend a workshop to explore prayer on February 3rd from 5 to 7 p.m. in Jr High Room and Room 2. We’ll walk the prayer labyrinth, start a prayer journal, eat pizza and discuss why, when and the many different ways to pray to strengthen our relationship with God. Nan Snowden, Elizabeth Hopp-Peters and Meredith Rogowski… Don’t forget that Northminster’s Fair Trade Coffee Sale is on the third Sunday of each month during Fellowship Time after the worship service in Logan Hall. If you would like to assist in this wonderful monthly mission program of Northminster, where we help support many folks around the world by purchasing sustainable, fair-wage coffee, tea and chocolate,… Thank you for putting your change in the offering plate every Sunday. One of the four recipients of Change Hunger funds is the Food Pantry at the Hemenway Methodist Church on Chicago Avenue in Evanston which distributes food to the homeless and/or hungry every month.
