Do you have a student graduating from high school, college/university, or graduate school this spring? It’s time for Northminster to honor all of these students! This year we will be creating a video expression of congratulations put together by our communications coordinator Luciana Bonadio as well as an insert to be given in the June 5th bulletins, when we… You are into a time of discernment and commitment of your time to the mission and ministry of Northminster. We are calling this special time “One for One Hundred.” The idea is that between now and the end of our 100th Anniversary Celebration (roughly Pentecost 2023), we are inviting folks to consider taking up a commitment… Recently, the Session created one new Committee and two new task forces. The Communications Committee was once a task force working under the Membership Committee, but it now operates autonomously, exercising oversight of our website, social media, and streaming team. It also has oversight of our weekly email and banner ministry. This committee is already… February 6 we will again be worshipping virtually. We can take communion together while watching one another share the bread and cup, celebrating separately but as one body of believers. Remember to use your olive wood cups if you have them! On February 13, we will resume in-person worship for the first time in the new year. CDC Guidelines… Once again, Northminster will support the Night Ministry of Chicago’s holiday support and outreach to the city’s homeless women, men, and youth by providing them with winter essentials. In the past, these stockings have been filled with items down in Logan Hall, but this year all stocking donations will be monetary. Your donations will be used to… Join Interfaith Action of Evanston’s third annual Walk for Warmth and help raise funds to support the Emergency Overnight Shelter, Warming Centers, soup kitchens and more. Interfaith Action has expanded its services, extending the dates for the overnight shelter and the hours for our Warming Center and we need your help to sustain these efforts…. In the last few weeks, hundreds of Afghan families completed the vetting process and started to resettle in our community. They’re far from the only homes they’ve ever known, and we’re their new neighbors. As we near this holiday season and think about travelers near and far, Northminster is forming a new Refugee Team to reach… We are now accepting applications for the Winter session of My Morning Out (MMO).
