The location for the “March for Our Lives” on March 24th has been changed. We will now be meeting at Union Park (1501 West Randolph Street in Chicago). Please come and join Pastors Michael and Jessica along with Northminster’s Youth Ministry Director Alex DeMarco as we participate in this important activity. We will be marching in solidarity with student-led groups across the country who are gathering to demand meaningful gun reform from local and national legislators — because rather than protecting our guns, we need to be protecting our kids and working to ensure that our schools and neighborhoods are safe.
The Chicago march begins at 11 a.m. this Saturday, March 24th and we will be gathering between 10:30 and 10:50 a.m. at the northeast end of the park at Washington and Ashland Avenue, behind the baseball backstop. For public transportation options, see information below. Afterward we will try to find a peaceful place to debrief together.

The “March for Our Lives” movement has been a long time coming and is the product of a nation that values objects more than human lives. The voices of “March for our Lives” are those of the generation that grew up with mass shootings. This is the sound of millions of voices across the country pleading for change — We say enough. End the violence!
From Evanston, one option is to take the Metra UP-N down to Clybourn. From there, take the #9 bus down to Lake Street and Ashland Avenue, and walk from there to the Northminster meeting place near Washington Street and Ashland Avenue. Another option is to take the Purple Line to Howard, transfer to the Red Line and get off at State/Lake. Then transfer to the Green Line toward Harlem and get off at the Ashland Avenue stop. Again, it’s just a two block walk to the Northminster meeting place.
