Please prepare to join us for our Good Friday Service, 7 p.m., April 19th in the Sanctuary. This “service of increasing darkness” journeys through the final statements the various gospels record Jesus saying from the cross. As each statement is made and reflected upon by Northminster-affiliated clergy, a candle is extinguished until the final candle is out, marking Jesus’ death.
Worshipers then leave in silence to ponder the impact of Christ’s death and to prepare for the coming Resurrection on Easter Sunday.
All worshipers are also encouraged to pick up a copy of our 2019 Easter Vigil At Home Devotion/Worship Guide for family or private worship and preparation on Holy Saturday.
