The North Shore Virtual CROP Hunger Walk is happening again the year. You may walk that day, today or every day, but walkers will not gather as they have for many years due to the COVID pandemic. The pandemic does not diminish the need for nourishment in our community and other communities throughout the United States and the world. The displacement and needs for assistance are even greater due to the global pandemic and other recent disasters. CWS – Church World Service has been sponsoring the CROP Hunger Walks to raise awareness and funds to assist in alleviating hunger in poor communities throughout the world since 1970. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Wednesday Lunch Ministry, Interfaith Action of Evanston and the Soup at Six Kitchen – Hemenway United Methodist Church have been selected to receive a portion of this year’s funds.
