Our programs for children and young people stem from our belief that they can and should be an active part of the congregation. We believe they are capable of having deep faith, engaging in theology, and finding spirit-given answers to their questions.
Preschool Sunday School
Classes are led by teaching teams of committed adults with parent assistants. Our curriculum focuses on the major stories of the Bible and life lessons in fun and creative ways. Our 3s and 4s classroom provides a safe and trusting space for young kids to play, engage in hands-on learning, hear a story from the Bible, ask questions, and make friends.
Elementary Sunday School (Kindergarten-5th grades)
Classes focus on biblical literacy and developing faith. Children learn the foundation stories of faith in scripture and how to connect those stories with their own experiences.
Junior High Sunday School
These classes develop deeper thinking about faith and what it means to follow Jesus. Our Director of Youth Ministry, Scott Simmons, collaborates with a team of parents to teach classes that are relevant for young teenagers.
In addition to Sunday School, we welcome the participation of children and youth at many church events, from picnics and fellowship events to family ministries service days.
Our Sunday nursery school provides childcare for infants through two-year-olds.
Contact Pastor Jessica Gregory if you have questions or would like to volunteer to teach Sunday School.
View or download our Sunday School Enrollment 2014-2015 form. Please note that the second page of this form asks for the commitment of NPC members, but anyone is welcome to get involved in any of the ministries as they feel comfortable.
