Women at Northminster meet informally once a month on second Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Panera Bread in Wilmette for coffee and conversation. We also gather at least once a year for a spiritual retreat, and have a Christmas party.
Contact Rosemary Nielsen for more information on the Second Saturday meetings.
Knitting for Mission
Our knitting group meets on the fourth Saturday at 9 a.m. at Jan MacDermid’s house in Evanston. All are welcome; bring your own knitting or any other sewing/needlework.
Contact Alice Foote for more information on the knitting group.
Our annual retreat in the Spring is a day of reflection, conversation, challenge, and fun. In a combination of small group conversation and lecture formats, we brainstorm meaning behind selected themes, and learning about the theological and psychological foundations for letting go, and explored the tool of journaling as a method for giving our joys and concerns to God.
In between three sessions together, we also share lunch and dinner. On Sunday morning, we worship and celebrate communion together. In just over 24 hours, we connect deeply to each other and to God.
Our retreats are meaningful and transformative. If you are interested in learning more about upcoming women’s retreats, contact Heidi Niggli.
