Feeding the Hungry

Feeding the hungry is one of the active ways we support our community and serve God’s people.

The Night Ministry

We prepare food in the church kitchen and serve it on the second Tuesday evening of each month in a Chicago neighborhood served by The Night Ministry.  For more information, contact Amy Mendelson.

Interfaith Action of Evanston

We make sandwiches and assemble lunch bags on the second Thursday or Friday evening of each month for distribution  in Evanston to the homeless and needy at lunchtime on that Friday.  For more information, contact Ginny Johnson.

For the past twenty years, we have also been making and serving soup at a local soup kitchen on Tuesday evening. For more information, contact Bob or Carol Lounsbury.

Food preparation is open to all, but servers must be 18 years or older.

Change Hunger

We collect about $200 per month from members who deposit their loose change in the offering plate each Sunday. The money is distributed to various local, regional, and national organizations that feed the hungry.  For more information, contact Kurt Peters.
