All Senior Highers are invited to come to the Old Neighborhood Grill on Sunday, December 10th from 7 to 9 p.m. Drinks and appetizers will be paid for by the church and we will have our annual “white elephant” / “Dirty Santa” gift exchange!
This is a gift-giving/gift-taking game where everyone brings one wrapped gift that isn’t intended for anyone in particular. You’re not allowed to buy anything, just bring something fun and ridiculous that you find lying around the house that you’re willing to part with.
We draw numbers to determine the order of turns. When it’s your turn, you can choose either to open a new gift or to steal a gift that someone else has already opened (at which point the person whose gift was stolen can then choose to either steal or open a new one). It’s as much about the game play as it is about the gifts themselves, and it’s a lot of fun.
Friends are certainly welcome! Just make sure everyone who comes brings a wrapped “gift” of little or no monetary value. Please RSVP to Youth Ministry Director Alex DeMarco so we know how many to expect.
