Inter-generational Vacation Bible School, August 8-10

Categories: Events

Come one, come all to VBS!

Again this year, Northminster’s Vacation Bible School is an evening, inter-generational experience held on August 8th, 9th, and 10th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Logan Hall.

The theme this year is “Psalms” Poetry on Fire” and each evening we are learning more about the book of Psalms with a highlight of some of the verses it contains.

The evening begins with a ToGather-style dinner ($5 requested donation) followed by break-away sessions for children, youth, and adults. After this, we come back together for an all-age mission project or singing by the fire pit with s’mores and more depending on the evening.

Dinner menus/activities — Tuesday: Pizza, salad and beverages / singing by the campfire and making (and eating) s’mores; Wednesday: Campfire cuisine/origami crane-making for the Peace Crane display in the sanctuary on World Communion Sunday; Thursday: Gourmet salad bar/service project of making dog and cat toys for the Evanston Animal Shelter.

Everyone is invited to come to any or all three evenings. Please mark your calendars so you won’t miss this fun, all-church event!
