Peace Cranes at Northminster!

Categories: Events

Northminster folks have an opportunity make peace cranes for a new, church-wide, liturgical art project.  The plan is to hang more  more than 1,000 origami cranes in the sanctuary for World Communion Sunday, October 1st.

It’s the Sunday when the Peacemaking and World Missions Special offering is traditionally collected and it’s a Sunday when we mark our unity in the global Christian community as people from many different traditions around the globe join in celebrating communion.

During Vacation Bible School project time on Tuesday evening (August 9th starting with dinner at 6 p.m.), there will be instructions and video tutorials to help you learn how to fold colorful, origami, peace cranes. Won’t you come and fold a bird or two?
