Adult Education, “From Homeland to Homeless: Life and Times of a Palestinian Family,” April 29th

On Sunday, April 29th, Northminster will welcome Ziyad and Kathy Shihadah as our Adult Education presenters in the Guild Room after Fellowship Time at 11:05 a.m. They will share their stories of life today in Palestine.

Ziyad was born in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, moved to Saudi Arabia at age seven, and came to the United States at when he was 22. Kathy was born and raised in the Lutheran church. They were married in 1985.

They have been advocating for Palestine together and helping Bright Stars of Bethlehem since 2012. After you hear Ziyad and Kathy’s story, visit the Tower Entrance Gallery to view “Palestine: Unlimited,” our current exhibit of award-winning images from Palestinian photographers.
